    Important Items:

    • Report Card Conferences were held on Oct. 26-27, 2016. If you were unable to attend, your child’s teacher will be contacting you to set up a conference time to discuss your child’s progress.  It is important that you and your child’s teacher collaborate often to ensure the success of your child.
    • McCormick Elementary School, in conjunction with the district, are working to continuously improve our practices. The district is using the AdvancEd Parent Survey as a way to get your opinions on areas of our school that are effective and areas needing improvement. This survey will help us learn about your expectations for a high-quality school system. Please complete the survey at this link:

Your answers are confidential and will help us continue our work at improving our school and district. If you don’t have access to the internet, we will be glad to give you access to a computer in our lab to complete the survey.

    • Yearbooks are on sale! The cost is $20. Watch for flyers coming home so you can get your order in soon!
    • Stay informed – check out our school’s website and follow us on Facebook!

Thank you for allowing us to work with your children each day! If you have any questions, concerns, or celebrations, please don’t hesitate to call!

We are excited about the start of the 2nd Nine weeks at McCormick Elementary!  The teaching and learning happening throughout the building is one to be commended. The South Carolina curriculum standards are used to guide our teaching practices in the building.  The standards teachers are expected to teach are more demanding than from our days growing up in elementary school, so please be advised that some of the work your child brings home may be very difficult.  Having a conversation with your child and your child’s teacher will help remedy some of the issues that may arise.

Our school theme this year is: One Team, One Goal, No Limits and there are No Limits when it comes to our Little Chiefs.  McCormick is a rich and vibrant community and we are preparing your child to be the future leaders of this great town.  Please feel free to visit the school to speak to your child’s teacher, Mrs. Willis, or myself.  It takes a village to raise a child, and your support is always appreciated!
