Ms. White and Mrs. McTeer, love to celebrate student success and achievement and will do almost anything for students who work hard.
MAP testing is an important test given 3 times a year. Scores help teachers check student performance by measuring achievement and growth. Teachers use results to tailor classroom lessons and set goals for/with students. These scores are also used to report growth data to the South Carolina Department of Education for our State Report Card rating.
Students had the opportunity to earn rewards based on their performance on MAP Test. Students who met their goals received dress-down day passes, 25 Dojo Points, and an entry into the prize drawing. Students who tried their best during testing and stayed focused were entered into drawings and earned Dojo Points. Classrooms with the most growth were also rewarded.
The biggest and stickiest rewards though went to the top 5 students who had the highest scores. They got to make an ice cream sundae out of Ms. White. The top 5 students from each grade level with the most growth, got to tape Mrs. McTeer to the wall! Students enjoyed putting Ms. White and Mrs. McTeer in some sticky situations.
MAP reports will be coming home with your child with report cards. For more information about MAP Growth, visit NWEA.org/familytoolkit.
