On October 27, MES honored the Students of the Month in our teacher retreat room for a doughnut breakfast celebration for good character. The students are nominated from each homeroom. These students were nominated for showing Self Respect.
Taking good care of yourself and your health, eating nutritious foods, getting plenty of rest and proper sleep, and learning as much as you can are all qualities these students are showing. Positive self-talk is a form of self-respect. Showing self-respect means taking care of oneself physically (body), emotionally (feelings), and mentally (your thoughts). You show self-respect when you are able to identify and walk away from people or things that are disrespecting you.
