We had a wonderful Open House and first day of school! First of all, parents and students were able to meet the teachers on July 25. All attending were able to take pictures in our Coffee Bean photo booth. Be sure to check out that slide show on our FaceBook page. Parents, thank you for attending the open house and for your patience as we embarked on the new registration process. By using Final Forms it will make registering much faster for you in the future.
Students were excited to be back on Friday, July 26. Students learned about our new theme, "Be a Coffee Bean! During this read-aloud, students are taught they have the power to transform the environment. Smiles are contagious, and we must have the right mindset, purpose, and perspective to transform others. It was a fabulous day seeing all the smiles back on campus.
Teachers worked hard the week before students returned. They were in planning sessions, setting up classrooms, and many other meetings to prepare students for the best school year yet! All MCSD staff enjoyed listening to the message from the Co-Author of the Coffee Bean, Mr. Damon West. His motivational message was powerful! One of the many lessons in this message is to never give up. Keep pushing to your goals.
Here are a few reminders about arrival and dismissal. Make sure if your child is a car rider that he/she arrives before 7:50 in order to receive breakfast. In the afternoons, there are no early dismissals after 2:40 pm If your child is a car rider, you must have a car tag in the car to pick up the child at the car rider line. If you do not have your car tag, you will have to go to the front office in order for your child to be dismissed. Additional car tags can be purchased. Please call the school for details.
