The McCormick High chapter of SkillsUSA has the opportunity today, to advocate and express their interest in meeting with the legislators to discuss Career and Technical Education (CTE) and SkillsUSA. Engaging with their local legislators is an excellent way to advocate for SkillsUSA, school, and Broadcasting program. Great job Chiefs!

The JV basketball game vs. Abbeville that is scheduled on Saturday (2-8-25) will now start at 5:30 pm. Varsity games will follow the JV game and the games will take place at Erskine College.

JAG made another trip to the Golden Harvest Food Bank (Master's Table), where over 200 hot lunches are served daily.







The JV and varsity basketball games vs. Abbeville will be played at Erskine College on Saturday (2-8-25) starting at 5 pm.

Ms. Workman's 4th block teacher cadet class is working hard making puppets and props. They are planning to perform a puppet show for MES very soon.

The JV and Varsity basketball games that were scheduled to play at Abbeville today (1-21-25) have been postponed. They have been rescheduled to be played on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 5 pm at Abbeville High School.
The middle school game that was scheduled to be played on Wednesday (1-22-25) vs JET has been postponed and will be rescheduled for a later date.

EARLY DISMISSAL: We will be dismissing early today, Tuesday, January 21st. Additionally, Wednesday, January 22nd will be an e-learning day. The most recent models indicate snow moving into our area earlier than expected, and we are now under a Winter Weather Advisory.
Dismissal will occur today at 11:30 am. Students will be served lunch prior to dismissal. All afterschool activities are canceled.
For tomorrow, E-learning assignments will be posted in Google classroom for students to complete. Additional details will be forthcoming from your child’s school regarding completion of assignments and expectations.

"STEM Career Connections provides the high school with pre-recorded video of various local industry experts discussing career pathways and workforce topics. The goal is to help local students better understand the many career opportunities from a high school
diploma to more than four years of college that exist right here in our community.
Students and staff were encouraged to watch the videos and take a survey for a chance to win an Apple Watch. Congratulations to Tyrese Williams for being the big winner!"

Parents & Guardians of 11th graders, please check your email for an important email regarding ACT & SAT testing. If you wish for your 11th grader to take either test you will need to sign them up via that email by Wednesday, January 15.
