This is a reminder that fall intercession begins next week! If your child is attending intercession, camps will begin on Monday, September 25th, and will conclude on Thursday, September 28th. Camps begin at 8:00 a.m. and dismiss at 12:00 p.m. Breakfast will be served from 7:30 a.m.- 8:00 a.m., and lunch will also be served.
If you have any questions, please contact your child's school for more information. We will resume our normal schedule on Monday, October 9th.

We wanted to remind everyone that Camp EAGLE is gearing up again for intercession for students in grades 4-11. Camp dates will be from September 25th through September 28th, and the session will focus on "enrichment for all".
The schedule for the week is as follows:
Monday- STEAM extravaganza
Tuesday- Arts for All
Wednesday- Drone Aviation
Thursday- Natural Resources
Students who attend will receive materials to extend their learning at home. The application deadline is tomorrow, September 14th. Please contact your child's school if you need an application or have additional questions.

BUS UPDATE: This is an emergency. The bus driver is sick that drive bus #23. The students that ride bus #23 will be late getting home this afternoon 9-12-23. I will have bus #15 during that route as soon as she can get back from her route. It may be at least 4:30pm before leaving the school. Sorry for the inconvenience, but this is beyond the transportation control. Parents you may pick up your child/children if you want to. Again we are sorry for the inconvenience today. Thanks

As a reminder, there is no school on Monday, September 4th in observance of the Labor Day holiday. The district will resume regular schedules on Tuesday, September 5th.
Weather Update: On Thursday, August 31st, all facilities and schools within the McCormick County School District will operate on a two-hour delay. This means school start times are two hours later than usual. School bus riders should report to their bus stops two hours later than their usual times. The school day will begin at 10 am rather than 8 am. Parents are encouraged to download our new app, “McCormick County School,” for all school and district updates.
Early Dismissal at Noon: Due to the weather that is being forecasted for later this afternoon and through the evening, we will be dismissing at noon today (Wednesday, 8/30). Hurricane Idalia is expected to bring high winds and several inches of rain to our area.
All students will be served breakfast and lunch today. Additionally, all students who normally attend Abbeville Career Center and Piedmont Technical College will not be sent this morning.
We will be in touch later on today in regards to any decisions pertaining to school tomorrow. Stay safe everyone!
IMPORTANT WEATHER UPDATE: We are closely monitoring the weather forecast and any potential impacts that may result from Hurricane Idalia moving through our area over the next few days. As a precautionary measure, all students were instructed to bring home their Chromebooks today in the event the district needs to utilize an e-learning day. At this point in time, no changes have been made to the regular schedule. We will continue to keep you updated on any changes.
SPOTLIGHT: We are so thankful to the Education Foundation for donating to all three schools. The donation will go towards the clubs in each school.
